This Privacy Policy describes how CheckMyFit ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. By using CheckMyFit, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Photos
When you use the virtual try-on feature, you upload photos of yourself. These photos are processed by our AI to generate outfit previews and are stored securely to enable the service.
Anonymous Identifier
We use Firebase Authentication to create an anonymous user account. This does not require any personal information such as email or phone number.
Device Information
We collect device identifiers for fraud prevention purposes and to ensure the security of our service.
Purchase History
If you subscribe to CheckMyFit, purchase information is processed by Apple and RevenueCat to manage your subscription status.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the virtual try-on service and generate outfit previews
- Save your photos and looks for future access
- Manage your subscription and verify purchase status
- Prevent fraud and ensure service security
- Improve our AI models and service quality
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored using Google Cloud services:
- Firebase Authentication: For anonymous user accounts
- Firebase Storage: For photo storage
- Google Cloud: For data processing and backup
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols.
4. Third-Party Services
Google Gemini AI
We use Google's Gemini AI to power our virtual try-on feature. Your photos are sent to Google's servers for AI processing.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives purchase information from Apple to verify your subscription status.
Apple
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles all payment processing and we do not have access to your payment details.
Meta/Facebook
We use the Facebook SDK to measure advertising campaign effectiveness. With your consent, device identifiers and app events may be shared with Meta for advertising purposes. See Section 8 for details.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete all associated data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data
- Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format

7. Children's Privacy
CheckMyFit is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Advertising and Tracking
CheckMyFit uses the Facebook/Meta SDK to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and improve our marketing efforts.
Data Collected for Advertising
- Device Identifier (IDFA): Your device's advertising identifier
- User Identifier: An anonymous identifier to track app events
- App Events: Actions you take within the app (e.g., purchases, feature usage)
This data is shared with Meta/Facebook for advertising purposes, including measuring ad performance and targeting.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS 14.5+)
On iOS 14.5 and later, you will be prompted to allow or deny tracking when you first open the app. This is required by Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
- If you allow tracking, we can measure ad effectiveness and provide personalized ads
- If you deny tracking, we will not access your IDFA or share data with Meta for advertising
- You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
Purposes of Tracking
- Third-party advertising: Delivering relevant ads through Facebook Ads
- Campaign measurement: Understanding which ads lead to app installs and conversions
- Analytics: Analyzing app usage patterns to improve our service
Opt-Out
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by:
- Denying tracking permission when prompted
- Changing your tracking settings in iOS Settings
- Adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook account settings
